What’s your favourite memory from your wedding day?

The entire day was just a dream. The emotions I felt...I will carry those feelings for a lifetime. But if I had to pick one moment, it would be listening to my husband saying his vows underneath the trees in Central Park with our family, friends (& strangers onlooking). It was so intimate, unique and special.

How did you feel wearing Grace Loves Lace on your wedding day? And what made you choose NATHALIA gown?

I felt absolutely gorgeous and confident in the Nathalia gown! I had so many visions in my head on how I wanted to look on our wedding day, and with our plans changing I was a bit all over the place. When we decided to have an intimate ceremony in Central Park, I knew I wanted something that exuded a Parisian garden feel, and for me that was lace and long sleeves (the extra long train of course helped bring the vision to life). The off-the-shoulder showcased the décolletage which is sexy but still subtle and modest.

How do you celebrate love/ Valentine’s Day now that you’re married?

We are actually going to be celebrating the love of two of our best friends who are getting married on Valentine's Day in Antigua, Guatemala! It will be so special to spend the day celebrating love all around us, and we are excited to spend a bit of time together away from home, in warmer weather, to reconnect a bit as life has been busy since the wedding!

If you could re-live your wedding day, would you do anything different?

I would have tried to slow down a bit more; I was quite nervous about staying on track of schedule, and along with the standard wedding day jitters (mainly about saying my vows in front of everyone! I hate public speaking!) so I wish I would have slowed down, take in the moments and been okay with possibly running behind schedule.

How do you keep the romance in your relationship alive day to day?

We are both so busy that it is easy to let romance fall to the wayside from time to time. Day to day, it's the little playful moments; a kiss good morning, goodbye, hello, and goodnight. It's the playful hugs or secret butt touches in the kitchen when I am cooking! But it's more than physical contact, we try to continually date each other; taking time away from work, opening a bottle of wine and talking about life and our futures together.

What made you choose to have your wedding New York City?

Dylan and I met and fell in love in New York City, but I wish I could say a New York City wedding was our plan all along. I actually planned our wedding for 100+ guests in entirety to take place in Sonoma, California. After months of planning and discussions on our future, we ultimately decided to scale back on our wedding to focus on our home and future together, so we made the difficult decision to keep our wedding to immediate family and a few close friends. New York just felt like the perfect place to do that.

What is the most romantic thing Dylan has ever done for you? Or visa versa?

The day Dylan proposed was the most romantic thing he has done as it was truly everything I have ever dreamt of. Through working in the wine & spirits industry, I have a passion for wine and visiting the Napa Valley. When we first started dating, I began talking about one of my favourite wineries and expressed how badly I wish we could experience it together. While we had planned a trip to Sonoma, I didn't think we were going to be able to visit as this specific winery (Scribe) only allowed members of their wine club to make reservations, and you had to be a member for at least 6 months before you could come to the vineyard! So Dylan joined the wine club, started receiving wine deliveries for those 6 months (and kept me from knowing, somehow) just so we could go there and he could propose to me underneath the trees after enjoying our favourite orange wine & cheeses. The second best part was I had 6 months of my favourite wine waiting for me at home!

What advice would you give to a young couple in their first year of marriage?

Don't take the stressors of life out on your partner; you are on the same team. It is so easy to let all the things that life demands from you to get in the way, but the person you married is there for support, love and laughter -- which can help you get through anything.
