A Romantic Beach Proposal

The couple’s love story began with a shared connection: Tess' brother, who happened to be the same age as Cory. Although they were initially just familiar faces, a strong bond developed over time. They would exchange playful compliments about one another with Tess' sister-in-law. For years, Tess and Cory were acquaintances until their paths led them to the same birthday party, where Cory took the chance to ask Tess out. It didn't take long for Tess to realize he was "The One."

She knew early on that he was her perfect match; caring, smart, kind, handsome, funny, and just the right height for her! When Cory expressed his love for Tess for the first time, she instantly knew he was the man for her. Five years later, in July 2022, the couple were planning a romantic getaway to Oahu, Hawaii.

Little did Tess know he was going to propose to her, as the couple had always envisioned a unique proposal with their adorable Bernese Mountain dog, Harrison. However, Cory had a different intention; he chose to propose to Tess on the beach at twilight. The bride recalls the moment ; we were watching the fireworks, and he proposed to me on the beach with the sweetest words.A romantic and perfect setting for an intimate engagement.

A Modern and Elegant Celebration in Kenmore, Washington

On the 15th of July 2023, Tess and Cory tied the knot in Kenmore, Washington. The couple opted for an elegant celebration at the Inglewood Golf Club, where family relatives had hosted meaningful celebrations in the past. From sorority and fraternity events to weddings and graduation ceremonies, Inglewood was a meaningful place for Tess' family. Surprisingly for Tess, Cory was the one to suggest this location.

The bridal party chose monochrome bouquets. It was a perfect match with Tess' gown and the ideal palette to complement the minimalistic accents of the celebration. Tess shares, getting ready with my favorite girls was such a meaningful moment. The entire venue was infused with white and creamy tones. The couple opted for modern place settings with multiple neutral toned plates, beautifully tied together with personalized cards adorned with modern calligraphy.

One standout moment was Tess’ walk down the aisle. She shares, the first look was filled with butterflies, followed by the exchange of vows and their first kiss as husband and wife. Sarah from Meritt Florals brought the couple’s vision to life by opting for a minimalistic design, featuring all-white florals and dark greenery, blending with the venue’s location. The atmosphere could not have been more fun and romantic!

Bringing Her Bridal Vision to Life

Unlike most brides, Tess had been dreaming about the Clo gown for years before getting engaged. She believed Clo was 'the one' that resonated with her personality and style the most. When it was time to officially say ‘yes to the dress,’ Tess had planned to try on Clo at our Seattle bridal boutique. However, Tess surprised herself by falling in love with the Martini gown.

Although she had originally tried on Clo Crepe, Martini happened to be the one gown she fell in love with. She felt an instant connection, leading to a few happy tears. With the help of her bridal stylist, it was time to bring her bridal attire to life with the right accessories. Tess complemented her ensemble with pearl earrings and the Lumi veil, keeping the look simplistic and elegant.

The overall experience was filled with pure joy and happiness for Tess. Not only did her mom and mother-in-law shed a few tears, but they also talked, laughed, and chatted about all things bridal. Having the two most meaningful and important women in her life to help her say ‘yes to the dress’ was a dream come true and felt just right.Tess’ finished look is such a ‘wow moment.

The polished ponytail complemented by defined curls gives off an effortlessly classic vibe! We love how beautifully this style pairs with her natural yet glamorous makeup by the AM Beauty team.
